Pierce's Crew

LT Albert Pierce's crew (submitted by Terry Pierce, son of Albert Pierce)

#140 was hit near the target and lost one engine. A second engine was lost near the RP and the aircraft had to leave the formation. The aircraft was last seen 30 miles from the RP. The pilot had issued a call for fighter escort, but it is not known if any arrived to assist (MACR 10167). It has been determined that Albert Stiudeikeis was murdered by his captors.
