Allbright and crew were shot down over the target at Dresden, GR. The aircraft was hit by FLAK knocking out two engines and igniting the incendiary bombs. The Navigator, Carl Runge, attempted to salvo the bombs but couldn't. Allbright ordered the crew to bail while over Checkoslovakia near Saaz. 8 crewmen were made POW and 9th is MIA. (MACR 14197)
