Bill Effinger and the R. Miller crew, 834th, made a forced landing in a farm field in Ouddorp, the Netherlands. He was invited to return in 2006 as an honored guest of Fred Hoek, who submited the following photos.

Bill Effinger and his wife, Joan, as well as his brother, Gene, and his wife, Liz, return to the Netherlands to visit the site of his capture by the Germans after his B17 made an emergency landing.
